This is intended for all the team owners involved in the Game Peak City fantasy hoops league on Fantrax. If you’re someone else coming across this and wondering what the heck it is, just check out Welcome to Game Peak City!

With our third season in the books, we’ve finally got our own custom player rankings! Below is a breakdown of the top NBA players based on our Game Peak Mode scoring format. The rankings are based on their Rank Score, which takes into account BOTH season averages and weekly volume. Some sites base their rankings on just averages, some base theirs on total output. Consider these rankings a hybrid of the two, which could be more accurate or less so, depending on who you talk to. I think this hybrid gives an accurate snapshot of the entire season, and hopefully acts as a helpful tool for all 40 team managers in our league moving forward.

I included some additional columns that didn’t directly affect the rankings but could be considered pertinent information when valuing these players for next season. The first is the total number of weeks during the regular season that the player recorded at least one game of 20 fantasy points or more.

Considering that the vast majority of Game Peak City’s player locks were scores of at least 20, and the fact that only one score can be locked per player for the week, this stat could be very telling. If Player A had their three best games of the entire season all in one week, that may not be as valuable as Player B who had their three best games spread out over multiple weeks, because Player B’s scores could have actually been used more often than Player A’s.

Since the league’s inception, John Hollinger’s Game Score formula (a simpler, linear version of PER) is what we’ve used for fantasy scoring in Game Peak City, and a Game Score of 10 is considered average. Scoring 20 is considered a very solid game. Breaking 30 is hard to do.

Luka Doncic had an outstanding season, earning the number one spot in our rankings. And as you can see, he stayed healthy all year, enough so to be the only player in the entire NBA to produce at least one 20-point Game Score every single week of the regular season. Joker didn’t even do that.

The last three columns show the percentage of each player’s total games where they scored at least 10, 20, or 30 Game Score. This stat can be extremely helpful when valuing those players who missed the majority of the season (like #108 LaMelo Ball or #142 Ja Morant). Or in one very specific case with #7 Joel Embiid, whose season average of 29.07 was a league best, with an amazing 50% of his games being over 30. He would have finished #1 overall had he not missed all of February and March.

With that said, here are the top 200 players from this past season:

Notable players outside the top 200 with a 10.00 or better season average: Shaedon Sharpe, Scotty Pippen, Javonte Green, and Brandon Clarke.
